The North Carolina Community Foundation helps generous people create lasting impact in the communities they care about.
We were founded on the belief that access to philanthropy should not be determined by where you live. For nearly 40 years, we have worked with donors to establish charitable funds at NCCF that are invested and grow over time, allowing fundholders to provide grants to nonprofits and scholarships to students for generations.
Today, we steward over 1,300 charitable funds and have administered over $360 million in grants and scholarships.
Our work is vast. We serve the entire state, with a focus on rural communities. Our network of affiliate foundations supports local needs across 60 counties.
The NCCF Endowment is a permanent fund that supports our operations so we can always carry out our mission and sustain our vision of creating stronger North Carolina communities.
The endowment is vital to supporting NCCF’s work in rural communities and throughout our statewide footprint. Our fundholders and affiliates benefit, receiving consistent and high-quality philanthropic services, staff, grantmaking technology and other resources.
The endowment is invested and grows alongside our other funds and is available to support our work throughout the state as needed.
The NCCF Endowment ensures our sustainability to weather varying economic and market conditions. It:
We offer donors a broad range of ways to support the NCCF Endowment and ensure NCCF will be a resource to communities for generations to come.
Donations may be made via check or online, stock gifts, planned gifts and more.
